Ensure Your Support Office Team has
the Skills to Create Happy Franchisees

Franchisees can be emotional and demanding. And that’s okay, because they have a lot on the line. The important question is, “Are your Franchise Support Office team giving franchisees what they need, and not just what they want?” People who are not clear on this can swing from being overly accommodating to being overly rude. Both these extremes are ineffective and can leave all parties feeling frustrated and dissatisfied.

If you want your Support Office team to have the understanding and confidence to give franchisees what they really need, we can help. The Culture of Franchising workshop provides people who handle inbound franchisee requests, with the skills they need to provide positive, empathetic support. Often a degree of candour is needed in these conversations, which franchisees appreciate, providing this is done with respect. Here’s what you’ll learn in this practical and interactive program:

  • The various stages of the franchisee lifecycle.
  • The psychology of healthy franchise relationships.
  • What franchisees want and need from their franchisor.
  • Tips for diffusing difficult situations and conversations.
  • How to avoid the common mistakes that frustrate franchisees.
  • How to get franchisees to willingly comply with important policies.
  • How to maintain a respectful, empathetic relationship under pressure.

The workshops are led by FRI’s team of experienced franchising experts who have deep, real world knowledge of how to effectively support franchisees.

Background to the Workshops

The current Parliamentary Inquiry into Franchising has put the spotlight on the need for franchisors to provide effective support for their franchisees. Also, with the media promoting an environment of negativity and blame, everyone in the franchising sector has a responsibility to protect the franchising brand as well as their own reputations.

The Culture of Franchising workshop is based on FRI’s extensive research into best practice franchising, and delivers essential knowledge on how to build a positive, healthy franchising culture where everyone prospers. It will help you protect your brand, improve the effectiveness of your Franchise Support Office team, and give franchisees what they need.
